Unless Bookchin is using “interests as workers” in some peculiar and idiosyncratic manner [3] , this statement is, I believe, false. Anyone familiar with the day-to-day conflict with authority of workers in a plant or office, let alone the history of spontaneous rebellions against it in strikes, occupations, and attempts to establish self-management, would surely be sceptical of Bookchin’s assertion.
