Thirty states require employers to give time off, usually 1-3 hours, and seven of those don't require it to be paid time. Of the four states that don't have early voting, only one, Alabama, allows 1-hour unpaid time off to vote. The other three (for shaming purposes), are Connecticut, Mississippi, and New Hampshire. ------------- I think it definitely needs to be set at the federal level to allow early voting (with at LEAST one weekend day, preferably two, before).
